HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
After a combined forty years with a large Calgary law firm, Allan W. Schinnour and Philip K. Matkin left to form Schinnour Matkin in 2004. With extensive collective experience in the areas of tax, commercial real estate, recreational property and resort development, Allan and Phil's primary focus was to provide legal services for various components of the resort development industry.
Daniel A. Pichette joined the firm as an associate in August of 2005 after having spent the previous three years with the same Calgary law firm mainly in the commercial real estate group. He became a partner in 2008 and we are now known as Schinnour Matkin & Pichette.
Our firm has extensive experience in the recreational property and resort development industry and have acted for resort developers on projects in Alberta, British Columbia, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Mexico, Belize and the Dominican Republic.
